Pebbles Cleaning Group (PCG) Ltd is a family-run cleaning company based in Gosport, Hampshire. It was founded in 2022 by Jody and today operates both a commercial and a domestic cleaning division under one group. PCG manages more than 30 commercial clients — offices, schools, medical centres and other commercial premises — alongside a domestic team serving households throughout Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth and Southampton. PCG is a CHAS Accredited Contractor, fully insured, and staffed entirely by DBS-checked, COSHH-trained operatives
I started Pebbles in 2022, never imagining it would grow into the business it is today.
My background is in accountancy and finance, and that experience has played an important part in how I’ve built the business. Working with local companies, I saw first-hand that many were paying significant amounts to larger cleaning providers but weren’t always receiving the level of service, consistency or accountability they expected. I believed there was room to do things differently.
Today, everything operates under Pebbles Cleaning Group bringing our commercial and domestic cleaning services together under one group.
On the commercial side, I manage more than 30 commercial clients, ranging from offices and schools to medical centres and other commercial premises. Alongside this, our domestic team provides regular, reliable cleaning to households throughout the local area.
As PCG has grown, we’ve put strong processes, procedures and quality checks in place to make sure our standards are maintained. Most importantly, we’ve built a fantastic team who genuinely care about the work they do and the clients they look after.
I continue to run PCG day to day and remain closely involved with our clients, staff and contracts. And when needed, I’m not afraid to roll my sleeves up and help with the cleaning myself.
Most importantly, I take responsibility for the service we provide. I don’t hide behind a large company structure or pass the blame. Pebbles is my business, and ultimately the buck stops with me. If something isn’t right, I want to know about it, and I’ll make sure it’s put right.
Pebbles Cleaning Group may have grown considerably since I started out in 2022, but I never want us to lose the personal approach that got us here. We have the team, the systems and the experience to run a growing cleaning operation while still offering clients something that can easily get lost with larger providers: personal service and genuine accountability.
Jody, Founder, Pebbles Cleaning Group (PCG) Ltd
There's no regional office to escalate to and no account manager three counties away. If a clean isn't right, the person responsible for fixing it is the person who owns the business.
Recruiting from the communities we serve means shorter journeys, less unnecessary travel, a smaller carbon footprint, and cleaners who take pride in the standard of work in their own area. It also means we can respond quickly when something needs attention today rather than next week.
Every operative is DBS checked and vetted before they start, COSHH trained in the safe handling of cleaning chemicals, and fully insured. Our CHAS accreditation means our health and safety and compliance systems have been independently assessed not just claimed.
Documented site specifications, scheduled quality audits and a named point of contact for every client. Systems are what stop a good service quietly becoming an average one over time.
Safe, eco-friendly products as standard, correct dilution and handling, and cleaning methods chosen to be effective without being harsh on your surfaces, your staff or the environment.
A cleaning company is only ever as good as the people who turn up. Ours are recruited locally, referenced, DBS checked and trained before they’re allocated to a site — and then, wherever possible, kept on that site. Continuity matters. A cleaner who knows your building, your alarm code routine, your quirks and your priorities delivers a better clean than a rotating agency roster ever will.
Every operative works in branded PCG uniform and carries identification.
independently assessed against recognised health and safety standards, and a prerequisite for many public sector and larger commercial contracts
national recognition for how the business is run
public liability and employers' liability; certificates available on request
all operatives, without exception

The best way to judge a cleaning company is to have them walk your building with you. Book a free site survey and we’ll look at the job properly, tell you honestly what it needs, and put it in writing.
Pebbles was founded in 2022 by Jody, who came to cleaning from a background in accountancy and finance. Jody still runs the group day to day and remains directly involved with clients, staff and contracts.
Pebbles has been trading in South Hampshire since 2022, growing from a start-up into a group that now delivers over 200 cleaning hours a week across more than 30 commercial clients, alongside a domestic client base.
CHAS (the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) independently assesses a contractor's health and safety policies, risk assessments, insurance and competence. CHAS accreditation means PCG's compliance has been externally verified rather than self-declared, and it satisfies the pre-qualification requirements of many larger commercial and public sector clients.
Yes — every operative, without exception, is DBS checked and vetted before being allocated to any site. This is non-negotiable for us, and it's essential given that we clean schools and medical centres as well as private homes.
Yes. PCG is based in Gosport and works exclusively across Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth, Whiteley and the surrounding areas. We deliberately recruit local staff for local jobs, which keeps our response times short and our travel and carbon footprint low.
